Festive Baked Pears with Goat Cheese, Honey, and Pecans

Now, these delicious baked pears can be served as an appetizer OR dessert! Either way, your family and friends will love them. The complex flavors will be slowly and mindfully enjoyed by all! I think pears are one of the best seasonal fruits and just scream holiday time. They are extremely versatile and easy to add to most dishes. They are usually sweet and juicy, but can be made a bit savory in sophisticated dishes like this one. I HIGHLY recommend buying Anjou pears. I used Barletts when I first made this dish, and they did not hold up very well after baking. Anjou pears are firmer and do much better with heat!

The creamy goat cheese, fresh rosemary, honey, and pecan pieces make this such a unique dish! I just had to share it. I got the idea, of course, from Pinterest, and can not wait to make it for my next gathering.

Ingredients: 3 Anjou pears

1 tablespoon melted ghee, butter, or coconut oil

1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary

1 small package goat cheese

¼ cup chopped pecans Honey

Instructions: Preheat oven to 425°F. Cut the pears into 1/4 inch slices. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the pears evenly on baking sheet. Brush the slices with melted ghee (or butter or coconut oil) and sprinkle evenly with the rosemary. Bake for 6-8 minutes. Remove the pears from the pan and allow to cool. One cooled, arrange the slices on a serving plate and top with crumbles of goat cheese, followed by pecans. Lastly, drizzle with honey.
